Share vehicle history without giving away control
Share vehicle history with MotoDesk or external garages, create a selling view, download the PDF and transfer ownership safely.
Each sharing route has a separate purpose. A garage access request, external contribution grant, public selling link and ownership transfer are not interchangeable credentials.
MotoDesk garage access
Give the garage the Passport share code or QR. The garage requests access and the current owner approves or rejects it. Approved staff can append trusted history only within the existing garage protocol, and access can be revoked.
External garage contribution
Create a temporary grant, choose the allowed scopes, submission limit and expiry, then email or copy the link. The external garage does not need a MotoDesk account. The owner can moderate the submitted record and a trusted verifier can verify it where supported.
Selling view and QR
The selling view is read-only and includes only permitted vehicle identity, history, mileage, MOT data and provenance. It excludes owner identity, contact details, private documents, private notes and CRM identifiers. Revoke the link when it is no longer required.
Ownership transfer
- The current owner enters the buyer's email and creates a time-limited invitation.
- The buyer signs in using that invited email and reviews the privacy boundary.
- MotoDesk confirms the vehicle-level lifetime activation before changing authority.
- MotoDesk ends the seller's management authority and begins the buyer's authority on the same passport reference.
