Reports

Turn current workshop records into explainable reports

Review financial, workshop, customer, vehicle, inventory, quote and invoice-delivery measures, then export a section or Full Report.

Reports appears inside the PIN-protected Boss Panel for owners and managers with the required access. It reads the current garage's operational and financial records for a selected date range and keeps the calculation basis visible so figures are not presented without context.

The report is read-only. Its links open the existing Jobs, Invoices, Customers, Vehicles, Parts, Quotes and Timeline pages when the underlying records need investigation or correction.

Open Reports and choose a period

Calendar periods use Europe/London time. Current stock value and total customer or vehicle counts are labelled as current or all-time measures where they are not historical snapshots.

  1. Open Boss Panel and complete the current Boss PIN check.
  2. Find Reports and choose Today, This Week, This Month, Last Month, This Quarter or This Year.
  3. For a different period, choose Custom and enter complete From and To dates no more than 367 days apart.
  4. Confirm the displayed period before relying on a figure or generating an export.

Use the report sections

Follow a drill-down

Use the links beneath a report section to open the canonical operational page. For example, investigate outstanding values in Invoices, stock exceptions in Parts and schedule utilisation in Timeline.

Correct source records through their normal workflow rather than attempting to edit a report. Reload the report afterward and keep the same date range when comparing the result.

Generate a PDF or CSV report

  1. Choose Current section to export the tab being reviewed, or Full Report to include all report sections.
  2. Choose PDF for a paginated, garage-branded document or CSV for structured rows that can be opened in spreadsheet software.
  3. Select Generate Report and wait for the download confirmation.
  4. Open the file and verify the garage, period, section headings, definitions and any data-quality warning before sharing it.

Permissions, limits and safe interpretation

Reports and export require the owner, manager or authorised administrative route plus the active Boss session. Mechanics cannot open or export these reports, so protected cost and financial totals are not merely hidden in the page layout.

If a data source reaches its bounded reporting limit, the report shows a warning. Narrow the date range before relying on the affected totals. Empty sections can be a truthful result for the selected period; check the period and source workflow before treating them as a fault.
